bmx bike help dk 8 pack?
i have a dk 8 pack and i want to lighten it ive only changed the grips the back tire rubber not spokes or rim just tire and the pedals. what showld i change to dramatically change the weight under 100$
also i put two pegs on it
Wow that guy was an idiot.
Their is a ton of weight in rims and cranks but they can be pricy.
A good way to save weight is to do some cutting. Take your seatpost out and cut the length of it down that should save a bit. Also you can cut your axles down to the axle nut. Pegs can weigh a bit so when your not grinding or doing hang fives take them off real quick. You can also cut an inch off your bars if your real picky about weight.Or if you have a gyro run a straight cable or go breakless. You can also cut the flanges off your grips.
those are just free modifications.
Plastic pedals like the oddysey twisted pcs are a good buy and they are light. You can also get new bars or forks.
I could go on and on but my suggestion is to get stronger by lifting weights.
