Sony CyberShot 10X Digital Zoom viewable image is stretched long when I look through the lens.?

When I view to take pictures the image that I am focusing on looks stretched out longways. Can someone tell me if the lens is broke or what to do, maybe how to reset the cameera to original factory default?
I dont know whats wrong with it.
It has a 10x Carl Ziess Vario-Sonnar lens . I thought maybe the kids may have dropped it or messed with some settings , but they swore to me they havnt messed with it.
Any suggestions would be very helpful.

If its 10x digital then thats why your picture is blurry. Optical Zoom is all in your lens, and digital zoom is your camera zooming in on your picture even more. Which causes it to look stretched out and blurry… So that could be your problem, hopefully its nothing to serious.. Hope I helped out!
