Some feedback on Canon Rebel?
I am in the process of finding a digital Slr Camera. I have narrowed it down to either a Canon Rebel T1i OR a Nikon ( maybe D3000 or D90 ). I was wondering if you you could compare and contrast them. Maybe a reason why you would never get one, or a reason you will always buy this brand? Some of the downfalls of them, or the advantages?
My background: I’ve been gaining knowledge over the past couple months about photography and I’m about to get a camera that will satisfy my needs. I will most likely be taking nature shots, sports (action) shots, once in a great while..portraits.
I really want the Canon listed above but the only thing it’s missing for me is burst mode. This would come in handy for the action shots I will be taking :/ I’m kind of bummed about that. Also if you would like to give me another camera to check out, be my guest :p ( Price range: 500-800?)

The Canon T1I is vastly superior to the D3000 and the equal if not better than the D90. The burst mode is higher than the D3000 and not much different than the D90. If you shoot highest quality jpg and have a fast memory card you won’t have any problems. In your price range the Canon is the best option.
Keep in mind that the D3000 can only be used with a select few Nikon lenses and almost none of the third party lenses. The body doesn’t have an autofocus motor like all other DSLR’s. For a sports photographer this is a big deal. I’m sure you are going to want a good Telephoto Lens at some point. The Canon 70-210 zoom and 300mm 2.8 are the rock stars of sports photography and they work great with the T1i
